The Design
The design will match existing blue, yellow, and orange buildings, preserving Willits Bend’s vibrant, welcoming character. The landscape plan includes 35% open space—exceeding the county’s 25%—with an entryway inspired by the area’s agricultural roots, an arboretum, and native, water-wise plants. Pedestrian paths will connect the site.
Amenities include community areas, a dog park, kids’ play zones, shaded seating, barbecue spots, lawns, and plazas. Residents will enjoy landscaping by the sage building, a central plaza with bike parking, and a rear green area with more bike racks, gathering space, a play zone, and access to the Roaring Fork Transit Authority stop.
